WHO DO WE SERVE:

Children from your neighborhood.

Children who need a safe, caring place to be while their families address problems.

Children who have been victims of abuse or neglect and who have a variety of physical, emotional or behavioral needs.

The parents of these children, who need a helping hand during rough times, and may not be lucky enough to have the family, church or community support many have.

PROGRAM GOALS:

Our number one priority is providing safe and nurturing homes to the children we serve. Click here to find out more about how the child welfare system works.

Abused or neglected children needing foster parentsKids Crossing believes that a family setting is the best place for children who have been removed from their homes. Whenever possible, we want children to be able to return to their families, or to a special person or family who can give them the "one on one" love that we all need. We welcome family involvement with the child for a speedy and safe return home.

Kids Crossing works to assist with the safe reunification of children with their families. A team effort, with the assistance of the wraparound approach, is critical in making this possible. Foster parents work closely with Caseworkers and biological parents toward this goal. Foster parents can help by providing transportation for the children in their care for visitation and therapies, and maintaining positive communication about the biological families with the children.

When reunification is not possible, we work to ensure that children are placed in safe, nurturing permanent homes. Kids Crossing can help also help foster parents who wish to adopt.
