Lee Oesterle, MSW, LCSW
Masters Level Social Work and Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Lee has been working in the Child Welfare system since 1978. Before receiving his Masters in Social Work at the University of Denver in 1980, Lee worked in group homes with adolescent boys. From 1980 to 1988, Lee was a Team Leader and then the Clinical Director of Chins Up Youth Care Homes. In 1988 Lee began his private practice and continues that practice on a part-time basis. In 1992, Jan and Larry Faubion asked Lee to be the Executive Director of the child placement agency they were starting – Kids Crossing.
Lee was the Executive Director from 1992 to 2013. In May of 2013, Lee was seriously injured in a bicycle accident in the mountains. After months of rehabilitation at Craig Hospital, Lee returned to work as the Clinical Director of Kids Crossing. This role proved more conducive to his continued healing and recovery. In 2015, Lee was again asked to be the Executive Director.
Tiffany Gonzales is Kids Crossing’s Director of Operations. Tiffany graduated from Alabama State University in 2001 with a bachelor’s degree in social work, and earned her master’s degree in social work from Newman University in 2011. She has been working in the human services field for over 12 years as a home coordinator, caseworker, placement supervisor and now Director of Operations. Tiffany enjoys spending time with her daughter and hanging out with good people.
Dave Williams is Kids Crossing’s Pueblo Office Program Director and has been with Kids Crossing for over 15 years. He received his master’s degree in Psychology, Guidance and Counseling from The University of Northern Colorado and later earned his L.P.C. In his free time, Dave enjoys working out, and spending time with his kids, the two most important people in the world to him.
Roxann Cadwell is the Pueblo office manager and licensing coordinator. Roxann has been with Kids Crossing since 1995 and is an essential member of the Pueblo office. Roxann loves spending time with family and friends, and is known to give some of the best hugs and biggest smiles!
Ben Schoch is the Placement Coordinator with the Colorado Springs office. Ben is a Colorado native who graduated from CSU-Pueblo and has held a variety of jobs within the human services field. He has worked at Kids Crossing for the greater part of a decade and enjoys working directly with families and youth to problem solve and offer support. In addition to his role as Placement Coordinator, Ben teaches foster parent CORE classes and several other trainings throughout the year. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family and friends while enjoying an active lifestyle.
Jodi McClure is the Program Director with the Denver office. She graduated in the winter of 2010 with a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice emphasizing in Human Services. In 2011, she began working in the mental health field starting as a direct care provider in residential care and then worked her way into community based services. In her free time, Jodi and her family enjoy being adventurous: snowboarding, hiking, amusement parks, water sports, and especially being around animals.
Gladys Offutt is a home coordinator with the Colorado Springs office. Gladys graduated from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs in the fall of 2011, with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. Kids Crossing is her first experience in the social work field, and she has been with us since 2012. She enjoys working with children and is constantly surprised by their resilience. In her free time, Gladys enjoys spending time with her family, painting, and drawing.
Karen McKay is a home coordinator with the Colorado Springs office. She has been with Kids Crossing since 2006 and has enjoyed working with so many talented and big-hearted individuals throughout the years. Karen graduated from UCCS in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in Sociology. Karen enjoys spending time with family and friends when she is not working.
Claudia Hernandez is a Home Coordinator at Kids Crossing. She joined the Kids Crossing team in May 2016 as an intern. then was hired as Case Aide and then began her job as a Home Coordinator. Claudia graduated with her Bachelors of Arts in Social Work in October 2016 from Brandman University. Claudia will like to continue her education in Social Work and will pursue her Masters in the near future. Helping children and families is her calling and passion! Claudia has some experience working with children and families. She was a Recreational Counselor at the Boys and Girls Club and worked at the Family Visitation Center. In her free time Claudia enjoys spending time with family and being outdoors. She enjoys hiking, mountain biking, fishing, camping, gardening and photography. Aside from the outdoor activities, Claudia enjoys doing arts and crafts. Particularly, recycled art. There is not a year that passes in which Claudia is not exploring her creative side.
Sarah Bailey is the recruitment and retention specialist with the Colorado Springs and Denver office. She graduated from the University of Tampa with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a minor in marine science. Before entering the social work field she trained dolphins for the US Navy Marine Mammal Program in San Diego. In 2011, she moved to Colorado with her husband to be near her family. She started with Kids Crossing in 2011 as a home coordinator. In her free time she spends time with her family and is having fun raising her little girls.
Dave Sanchez is a home coordinator with the Pueblo office. He graduated from the University of Southern Colorado and has been with Kids Crossing since 1998. Dave enjoys working with kids and the foster families at Kids Crossing. In the past he has worked as a fireman and EMT. Outside of Kids Crossing, Dave enjoys spending time with his wife and two grown children.
Victoria Romero is a home coordinator with the Pueblo office. Victoria was encouraged to pursue a degree in elementary education when her son was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder at age three. She is the newest member of our Pueblo team and looks forward to using her training, research, and experience to help other children and families. In her free time, Victoria likes spending time with her family and enjoys photographing their adventures.
Abbey Apple is a home coordinator with the Denver office. In 2015, she graduated from New Mexico State University with a Bachelor’s of Social Work degree and a minor in Child Advocacy. During her time at NMSU, she worked in school social work and as a coordinator at a crisis hotline for youth. She then moved to Colorado to pursue graduate school and graduated from University of Denver in the summer of 2016 with her Master’s of Social Work degree. In her free time, Abbey enjoys playing the drums and spending time with her family and two dogs.
